Restore an earlier quiz version

Preview and restore saved quiz versions, including questions, translations, design and settings. Free on every plan.

Updated 2026-10-27

Version history makes changes safe to try. Every distinct saved change keeps a version, including Quinn edits and rebuilds, translations, publishing and unpublishing. Unsaved typing is not a saved version. History starts with the first change after this feature is available; it cannot recover earlier lost edits.

Preview and restore

  1. Open the quiz in either editor and click History. Each version shows when it was saved, who changed it when available, the kind of change, and the question and answer counts.
  2. Click Preview to try a saved version as a shopper. The preview uses your current product catalog and saves no responses, contacts or analytics.
  3. Save or discard any unsaved editor changes before restoring. Previewing history does not alter those changes.
  4. Click Restore this version, read what will happen to the live quiz, then click Restore version. The editor reloads with the restored version.

What restoration changes

Restoration replaces the saved quiz content, including questions, answers, product mappings, translations, design, copy, results, routine steps, discount, outcomes and lead-capture settings. It also restores the version’s publication status. Restoring a published version changes the quiz shoppers see immediately. Restoring a draft unpublishes a currently live quiz. Review the confirmation carefully.

The quiz keeps its identity and handle, so theme placements, quiz links and integrations remain connected. Existing shopper responses, leads, analytics, attributed revenue and saved results are preserved. Historical results still reflect the shopper’s original quiz. Products shown in a preview come from the current catalog, so they can differ from products available when the version was saved.

The current quiz is saved before a restore, and the restored quiz becomes a new version. To undo a restore, open history and restore the version from just before it. The full-screen builder also has Undo and Redo for unsaved edits in the current session.

Storage and privacy

Quinn keeps the latest 100 distinct versions per quiz. Older versions are removed as new ones are saved. Versions contain authored quiz content only, never shopper responses, contact details or revenue data. Deleting a quiz or erasing the shop removes its history. Version history is free on every plan and uses no AI credit.
