Set up an existing code
Create the code in Shopify Discounts first. Quinn uses existing codes; it does not create them.
- Results discount: Enter the code and an accurate message. Without the email option, the offer is public on results.
- Reveal after email submission: Turn this on to withhold both code and message until a valid email submission succeeds. Email format is checked, not inbox ownership. Marketing consent is optional. Skipping or a failed submission does not reveal the offer. Keep the email step enabled; disabling it leaves a gated offer hidden.
Wait for Shopify to confirm
An empty cart cannot confirm whether a code works. Quinn marks it applied only when Shopify confirms it for the cart. A code may need a minimum order or may have ended. Shoppers can retry or try it at checkout. Keep your own message accurate.
Returning shoppers and sharing
After a successful submission, a private unlock in the same browser can recover the offer for up to 30 days. Shared results links never carry this unlock. If storage is cleared or unavailable, the shopper must take the email step again.
Reloading retrieves the current code and message; removing the code stops further reveals. Quinn cannot take back a code already seen or copied. Deactivate it in Shopify Discounts if it should no longer work.
Translate the message
Translate the discount message in the quiz copy editor. The code stays exactly as entered and is never translated.
Test on the published theme
Theme-editor and unpublished-theme previews do not store leads. To check capture, test on the published theme with marketing consent unticked and verify the contact in Leads. Test Skip separately: results should appear without the gated code.
