Start workflows with Shopify Flow

Email your team when a lead arrives, or automate other tasks from quiz results. Free on every Quinn plan.

Updated 2026-10-25

Install Shopify Flow in your store. Quinn provides two triggers: Quiz completed and Quiz lead captured. Both are free on every Quinn plan and use no AI credit.

Email your team when a lead arrives

  1. Open Shopify Flow and create a workflow. Choose Quinn AI Product Quiz, then Quiz lead captured.
  2. Add the Shopify Flow action Send internal email. Enter your team's email address and a subject such as New quiz lead.
  3. Use Add a variable to insert Quiz event fields into the email: quiz title, email, name, phone, answers and recommended products. Add a condition on the quiz handle if you want notifications for only one quiz.
  4. Turn on the workflow, then complete a published quiz on your storefront and submit the contact form. Open the workflow's run history in Flow to check the trigger data and email action.

What each trigger includes

  • Quiz completed runs when a shopper finishes a quiz, after recommendations are confirmed or the confirmation window ends. It includes the quiz title and handle, question and answer text, and recommended product IDs, titles and URLs. Any contact already captured is included.
  • Quiz lead captured includes the same quiz details plus email, optional first name and phone, and the explicit marketing-consent choice, wording, time and language. If contact capture comes before results, we wait for those results, or send the contact alone after the waiting window.
  • Refreshing or replaying the same quiz run does not create another trigger. Correcting saved contact details creates a new lead event, like Quinn webhooks. Skipping the contact form creates no lead event. Theme-editor previews and Send a test webhook do not start Flow workflows.
  • A missing marketing-consent choice is empty, not permission. False means the shopper declined. Quinn sends no Shopify customer reference and does not subscribe anyone to marketing. Require valid permission in marketing workflows.

Delivery and limits

Flow runs in the background and does not hold up quiz results. Quinn sends only for stores with an enabled workflow using a Quinn trigger. Disable your workflows in Flow to stop sending.

Each event gets one delivery attempt. Flow does not offer an idempotency key: retrying a timeout could send two emails, so Quinn does not retry an attempted delivery. A failed or timed-out attempt can be missed. Check workflow run history in Flow when investigating a missing notification.

Payloads stay below 48,000 bytes. Very long text is shortened; at most 30 answers and 20 products are included, with later entries removed if needed. Quiz event includes the original answer and product counts and a truncated flag. Early answers and higher-ranked products are kept first.
