Connect webhooks and a pixel

Send quiz results to your own server, Zapier or Make with a signed webhook, and quiz events to GA4 and Meta with a custom pixel.

Updated 2026-10-06

Both options are on the Integrations page and are available on every plan.

Send quiz results to another tool with a webhook

Each time a shopper finishes a quiz, or leaves their email, we send their answers and the products we recommended to a web address you choose, for example one from Zapier, Make or your own server. You can use it to tag the customer, start an email flow or add a row to a sheet.

  1. Open Integrations. In Send quiz results to your other tools, enter the Webhook URL, an address that starts with https://. We send a POST request with a JSON body, signed with your secret.
  2. Click Save webhook.
  3. Click Send a test. We send a quiz.test event with "test": true in it, so your receiver can ignore it. Any 2xx answer from your server counts as delivered.
  4. Check the signature (below) on your receiving end, using the Signing secret. New secret replaces it, and your receiver rejects our requests until you give it the new secret.
  • quiz.completed is sent when a shopper finishes a quiz: their answers and the products we recommended.
  • quiz.lead_captured is sent when a shopper leaves their email (Pro lead capture): the email, their answers and the products.
  • Each request has the headers X-Quinn-Event, X-Quinn-Delivery (the event's own id) and X-Quinn-Signature.
  • To check the signature, compute HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp, a dot and the raw request body, using your signing secret, and compare it to the v1 value in X-Quinn-Signature (it looks like t=1700000000,v1=...). Reject requests whose timestamp is more than 5 minutes old.
  • We wait up to 5 seconds for an answer. Any 2xx answer counts as delivered. If your server returns an error, times out or cannot be reached, we try once more a few seconds later; we do not retry a 4xx answer such as 400 or 401. The Last delivery line on the page shows what happened.
  • Results restored from a shared or remembered link do not send events.
  • Remove webhook stops all sending.

Send quiz events to Google Analytics and Meta

The pixel sends quiz starts, answers, results, product clicks, cart additions and email capture events to Google Analytics and Meta. It never sends an email address. It runs as a Shopify custom pixel, so your store's consent settings apply.

  1. In Send quiz events to Google Analytics and Meta, enter your GA4 Measurement ID (optional) (starts with G-), your Meta Pixel ID (optional) (digits only), or both. The IDs are only kept while the page is open.
  2. Click Copy pixel code.
  3. In your Shopify admin, open Settings and then Customer events, and add a custom pixel named Quinn quiz.
  4. Paste the code and save. Keep Permission set to Required; review Marketing, Analytics and Data sale settings for your store.
  5. Connect the pixel. Complete a quiz to check the events in your analytics.
  • Six events are sent, all starting with quinn_quiz:: started, question_answered, completed, product_clicked, added_to_cart and lead_captured.
  • Email addresses and typed input are never included. Previews, the theme editor's design mode and results restored from a link send no start or completion events.
  • The pixel adds only these quiz events. It does not add page views, purchases or standard add-to-cart tracking.
  • Check your GA4 or Meta reports after completing a quiz on your store. Events can be blocked by shopper consent or ad blockers.
